For the best weather, the months of April - November have less rain.   The months of December - March often have lower prices.   Tahiti and her islands offer year round warm weather & warm ocean water so there is no bad time to visit Tahiti! 

Yes many visitors stay 7-10 nights and visit 2-3 islands as each has different vibe and experiences.   There are resorts with garden bungalows with private pools, beach bungalows and the famous over water bungalows.    Combining a Tahiti cruise and over water bungalow stay on Moorea or Bora Bora are very popular!
